halfway point

I am just about to get myself going for the 2 shows of the day, and teardown to ready for the jump to Waltham, MA.

We are exactly at the halfway point of the tour, and what a summer it has been. Record high temperatures, my bunk melting it's electrical plug so that we lost power and A/C for a night, having directional signs stolen, having directional signs stolen and put on the steps of the town hall with a nasty-gram saying we are a hazard to the neighborhood prettiness, been assaulted by a patron, had 2 near-riots with patrons, given serious attitude by a New Yorker when I told her the house wasn't open yet and she needed to wait outside the tent, had people pitch a fit when I informed them that their stroller needs to be parked OUTSIDE the tent, got a pie in the face on my birthday (and managed to inhale the shaving cream), saved the day for the wirewalkers from a manic flash photographer, and had my relationship end.

And we're only halfway there....

Anyone interested in hearing any details of any of the above? Admittedly, the wire-walker photographer story is one of my favorites...

  1. I wanna hear ALL of it! Especially the wirewalker story, and about all of the "attitudinous" patrons. :-)

  2. sorry for the lost relationship. Never fun to have that crap while you're on the road. No need to elaborate on that one. Just sharing my condolences.
As for the wire-walker vs photography story.... would love to hear that.
Keep writing. I do check on this every week, and catch up. I love it!

  4. I'm just catching up on your blog, sweetie - I'm sorry I haven't been here more regularly! We are hoping to go to the show this weekend, just trying to coordinate with family when we are going. Are tickets sold out for any of the Wilbraham shows?

And damn, I'm sorry about the relationship - we need to grab a beer when this is all over, I think! :)
